JANET'S SECOND SINGLE FROM 20 Y.O.: "SO EXCITED"

Janet's second single will be "So Excited". Janet's first single "Call On Me" is having longevity on the R&B and Urban Charts, and even has a #1 video on BET 106&Park. Since Janet has done more pop in the late 90s and 00's, returning to her R&B roots has made COM a silent climber in Radio & Records, Billboard, and MediaBase. The single is not being embraced by pop, but it was the plan of Virgin Records to make a R&B track first before launching into a pop-driven dance track. This delayed the second single from debuting earlier as originally planned. The video will be directed by Joseph Kahn (Britney Spears, Janet's "Doesn't Really Matter") and will be a 2 day shoot next Monday and Tuesday.

The single will be an uptempo dance track. The video is expected to have a heavy dance component.

I have high expectations for both quality & success of the track. I'm rather excited myself to hear it lol.

Call On Me is not R&B. Do not disgrace R&B by sayin that. Please Janet lets get to single #2 cuz I'm losin so much interest in her album.

Right call on me is so not rnb and why they have to justify her flop i mean its not that huge on urban and rnb a huge urban rnb hit is torn but com is not that huge !!!

Ummm....I know that you are a Beyonce fan, and that is cool. But, if you look at the R&B charts and the Urban charts, Janet's COM is rising. It is not to justify a flop. "I Want You" and "Just a Little While" from Damita Jo was a flop. I admit that....COM is not. It may not be as big as Beyonce's DEJU VU, but it is doing well. So Excited is supposed to very pop and dance oriented. But, I know you don't care because you rather see her flop anyway. I was just sharing with those who are interested. Thanks

She better make it with "So Excited". This ***** is incapable of making quality hits anymore.

I like Call on Me, but I hope this single is much better. I can't wait to hear some new Janet music, though.

Call On Me sucks because of Nelly!!!

I (and most of the people) will give her a second chance listening to this thing. But it will probably turn out to be just more plain crap.

Actually i was a fan of janet but in the old days now its just that she lost her pop touch to me to me i mean i have nothin against rnb but it just doesnt fit her

It didn't do that bad, it was #25 on billboards airplay chart 2 weeks ago and it is doing good on the R&B and HIP/Hop charts.

I agree Deja Vu is not a flop, it's a disappointment compared to her other singles, but it was a hit nonetheless. Also, they're only calling DV a flop because most of the people here hate it.

I miss Janet. I really do. I was a Janet stan before Eminem even hit the scene with "The Real Slim Shady". Ever since her Velvet Rope album Janet just fell off and has yet to return. At this point I'm just a fan and "So Excited" is a final shot. If she's not dancing her 40-year-old ass off in the video I'll be pissed as hell.

All For You album was pretty good as well.
