Oh hell no. Sorry buddy, you're all alone in #1 single in Hot 100 chart.
I still believe that having a #1 song on Hot 100 chart is a curse. Especially for album artists.
But I want her to get that #2 Hot 100 spot. Would give the song enough exposure to sell 1M.
I don't get why you say it's a curse, a lot of albums sellers (at least for the era in question) got #1's, I don't see why to have a #1 single would be bad.

Look at how well singles from Bruce Springsteen, Beatles, The Who, and other legendary acts with huge album sales number did on the chart. You will know why.
