Not really. Does that mean I haven't used them in the past? No. But that was me being desperate. Over the last year or so, I've become less desperate and decided that I'll find somebody when the time is right. I don't feel the need to rush into a relationship or any dating situation right now.

As for the situation you described in the original post, I do think it's silly to find somebody and continue to search for another person. I hate indecisive people who can't, won't and don't admit to their indecisiveness. If they want to meet somebody for a harmless date or a meaningless backseat blowjob behind KFC, then maybe they should be a little more open about their intentions. I find that the guys who are like that are the same ones who claim to be looking for love and "aren't looking for any hookups".

With that said, I've only ever used OkCupid and PlentyOfFish. Never any "looking to get ****ed asap" sites.

I know someone who recently got married to someone, they met on a dating site. Hell one of my hockey friends met their husband on plenty of fish. Not everyone uses those sites for hookups or one night stands.

Though it probably isn't the best place to meet someone you want a relationship with.

And whenever I see people Grindr who are in relationships and claim to be "looking for chats and friends" even with that mostly naked profile pic, they are most likely lying. I find it hard to believe. and if I was dating someone, I'd probably question why they were still going on those sites...

And in the end, unless you are a flamboyant homo, or in the gay circle your best bet to find another man is online. Very rarely are you going to find your next love at some coffee shop or while browsing for groceries at the grocery store. (At least no man has been bold enough to do that to me.) Then dating sites are good. Now a days people have work, school and other **** to do. Internet is an easy way to meet someone. I have two friends who are now in long time relationships since meeting online. And yes they are both gay, anything is possible.
