Sandwich named after Chris Brown & Rihanna Sparks Outrage

Chops And Hops, a steakhouse located in the heart of Butt****, Georgia, has a long tradition of giving menu items tongue-and-cheek names after celebrities. But many customers lost their appetite after the restaurant posted a photo on its Twitter and Facebook profiles on Friday (March 23) of a burger with the following caption:
“Well we were going to do @TimTebow today but decided to trade for a sure thing this week. Instead @chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for a award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Caribbean spiced marinated sliced ribeye blackened then look out for the bleu cheese, sliced tomato, silver Lamborghini onions, and shredded romaine. Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.”
The shade of it all.
As expected, the joke didn’t go along well with customers.
“I’m not sure I would trust someone with so little judgment and decorum with food preparation,” one patron wrote.
“You’ve really blown it with this ad. Domestic violence is not a joking matter and never should be made to appear so. Mark us down as 2 lost customers,” fumed another.
After being read for filth by customers, the restaurant later posted that proceeds from the burger would go to Project Safe, an organization that is working to end violence against women.
“The owners of C & H would like to make sure everyone knows that we and our staff do not support domestic violence. The sandwich was a feature for the day,” wrote a rep from the restaurant on its Facebook profile. “Yesterday only. It is not on the menu nor will it ever be.”
On the flip slide, restaurant chef Richard Miley tells ABCNews.com that he has “no regrets” and was only “bringing light to the situation through food.” He created a Paula Deen sandwich with fried honey butter when memaw announced she had diabetes, and crafted a Whitney Houston sandwich topped with powdered sugar and sea salt after her death.
It’s cold in these parking lots.
