Hurt, is by far the better ballad. The lyrics, the vocals, the melody is wisely and beatifully done.
Listen is a nice song, but I have never felt the love for it.
Everytime is a joke. I always laugh at her fans acting like it's some sort of great ballad.
‘Everytime’ is very much critically acclaimed and it’s also the only stripped down ballad ever to hit #1 worldwide. Some girls have it all.
Preach it sis!
Everytime by far, Hurt is good but that's about it. Listen is a flop. Why is that song even on the poll, I just can't. Better replace it by Run (Leona Lewis)
Once again, people in here show how close minded they are when it comes to talent.
"Hurt" is a beautiful & touching ballad but I really wished she'd have kept it subtle instead of screaming like a banshee on some parts. The end is absolutely breathtaking and, coincidence, it's also the softest moment of the entire track.
"Everytime" comes straight from the heart, no pretense, no belting, nothing to prove. I really applaud the fact she trusted the intelligence of her public, and it payed off since it's the most successful out of the three choices.
Every word is carefully pronounced as if things could fall apart at every moment, which is what happens when you're heartbroken. It's extremely difficult to convey that kind of feeling in a song and it would be refreshing if more people could admit that instead of constantly obsessing over belting, screaming & screeching.
Even when some of you do not agree "Everytime" is a great ballad, and it's the prove you don't need to have an amazing vocal power as Aguilera, good lyrics and a good melody are enough to make you feel a song, I'm not a fan of Britney Spears but I know how to recognize when a song is great and when it isn't
