That's nothing. I've heard someone ask which State Denmark is in (this person literally thought it was a US city) and someone else who thought Oriental was a language.

I hear ignorant **** like this all the time and it makes my skin crawl. The stereotype is that Americans by and large are geographically illiterate and culturally unaware, and I have to admit, it's true for the most part. It's just how we're raised here. Not
all of us are stereotypical though.
EDIT: After watching the video, some of them knew where it's located and that the language is Danish, which is about as much as you can expect someone to know off the top of their head without specifically learning about it or going there.
