Madonna has done MDMA before and talked about it. She mentioned it in her Rock and Roll HOF speech, IIRC.
deadmau5 is an idiot. Without MDMA, E, or all those other drugs, these raves would not exist. 90% of the people there are on something (and not alcohol).

The point is that he doesn't want people who listen to EDM, more specifically the younger audience to think that anyone who listens to EDM does drugs. It's not a cute thing to say nor is it totally true that everyone who listens to it is associated with it. His meltdown wasn't cute but he has a point.

It's not 100% true, but it's about 90-95% true. Have you ever raved before? I highly doubt it. It's definitely a scene to see, and the number of drug free people is obscure. That community has always and will always be associated with drug use. Honestly, I don't think you can listen to that noise for an extended period of time without being on something.
Anyway, my point is that anyone who attends these things know about Molly and are more than likely on it. Younger people getting into the scene wouldn't be at the show anyway....and regardless, they wouldn't take Madonna's opinion in high regard (or care for it at all tbh).
That's why this whole thing is dumb and deadmau5 looks idiotic.

I'll be nice and agree with your statement because I don't think you're lying about the drug usage, there is bound to be drug users/abusers at a rave i'm sure, but that right there would most likely make anyone else who's reading your post and that actually likes EDM invalidate your point. It is your opinion though.
Edit: I guess they just want to believe that you would at least consider the youngsters before you reference something like that and in all honesty I guess I do see what you mean. Had I not come to this thread I wouldn't have known what Molly even was.
I can't at the Monsters coming in here saying he has a point when Gaga openly says she does drugs when writing her music, which in term becomes successful. Hm?

I'm really glad he spoke out. I can't believe she said that at Ultra. I mean... I know kids there are doing drugs, but she shouldn't encourage it. Especially hard drugs.

She only does marijuana; she does not condone the use of cocaine, nor does she use it anymore. When she references it, it's never in a positive (like Madonna's reference).

And I also can't at y'all saying she has such a high influence on the kids, yet also saying no one was here for her.
There ARE a lot of kids at ULTRA. I'm not saying she has any mainstream influence anymore, but she was speaking directly to a massive crowd of 90% young people.
