Well, many of their songs follow the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus which is a standard structure. If that is what he/she was meaning.
I agree they aren't exactly pop, though.

I'd say about 70%
And most songs in the world are pop....
But Florence's songs rely on hooks, just like most Pop songs...
