She took the superficial points of Madonna (changing hair color). Um, Rihanna changes hair color and her sound and she is closer to Madonna then xtina will ever be.

One of Christina's mistakes was that she reinvented herself too much. Madonna reinvented herself; however, she was a smart marketer too. Christina went from pop girl to dirrty girl to some throwback ish to some lady gaga futuristic stuff to whatever bionic was supposed to be.

Who is her audience? She left her audience hella confused. Maybe she should have paid more attention to Madonna who was ahead of the curve but kept her ear to the ground to know what the audience wanted/needed.

Are you serious with this one??? Christina is WAY more diverse in her sound than Rihanna. And she's an active songwriter too, unlike Rihanna. I have nothing against Rihanna but you're reaching with this one.

Say what you want about Rihanna but ppl understand her as an artist more than Xtina. I always felt like Christina felt like since she had the opportunity to be a Madonna, Mariah, Whitney combo that she would just go extreme and try to do all these different things for the hell of it. Unfortunately, while changing her hair color and "sound" she didn't incorporate smart marketing and massive impact which Madonna did. What's sad is that she could have been a Madonna/Mariah/Whitney combo and kept Britney, Shakira, Pink and Beyonce at bay but she didn't have the savvy that Madonna has nor does she have the impact. The closest thing they have is that they both dance but are not excellent dancers and they have similar attitudes but Madonna is more charming and has natural charisma that you just either have or don't have. Madonna is limited vocally for sure but you remember moments, performances, songs, videos, sounds and hair color...there's an evolution there. Christina...not so much. It's crazy because in 2000 I was certain that Xtina would be more memorable and would be where Beyonce is now...funny how things change.
