he Legend of Korra[5] is an upcoming American television series set in the Avatar universe as a spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender. It is expected to air on Nickelodeon on April 14, 2012.[5] The series is currently under production and is expected to run for two seasons and a total of twenty-six episodes, with options for more.[4][6] The co-creators of the original series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will personally write all of the episodes to allow for a tighter storyline.
The new series will take place seventy years after the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender story arc, with new characters and settings.[4] The protagonist of the new series, Korra, the Avatar after Aang, is a hot-headed and rebellious young woman from the Southern Water Tribe who is "ready to take on the world."[7] The series will follow Korra as she faces an anti-bender revolt while mastering the art of airbending from Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin.

I saw it last night. Someone linked me to it on tumblr. (If you go through the Legend of Korra tag, you'll eventually find a working link)
It was AMAZING. And holy Jesus, I cried so much. Mostly during all the Katara scenes. And how she was talking about how Sokka and all her friends are dead.
Oh god, having Katara as a part of this series is going to do horrible things to my emotions. I started sobbing every time she came on screen.
Anyways, I LOVE Korra. I think she's a total bad ass. I love Tenzin too. I love everyone It's all so perfect.
The original series is obviously better. But this one isn't bad at all. But oh my god, I wanted to KILL Tenzin's daughter when she interrupted Katara about to freaking tell us what happened to Zuko's mom. D:<
Anyways. Yes. I really enjoyed it, despite all my crying. haha. I suppose I'm an emotional mess when it comes to fictional characters I'd grown to care so much for.

I can't wait til this epicness comes into my life
