Toni Braxton has come up with a spiritual title for her new solo project.
Toni has dubbed her upcoming album Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes, according ThatGrapeJuice.net. The singer is keeping her options open when it comes to the marketing plan for the album, due out in May.
Reportedly, Toni will distribute the album as a "collective" where she'll work with different labels to push singles on an individual basis. So, for example, while her new track "I Heart You" could be released through Def Jam, another single might be distributed by Young Money.
Toni is already prepping new material for TV as she just shot a sultry new video for "I Heart You," in which she's decked out in a pink bodysuit and thigh-stockings topped off with a short 'do.
While Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes is still on the way, Toni's making plenty of time to support her sisters in their solo careers. Tonight on the season 2 finale of "Braxton Family Values", for instance, she'll be cheering for her sister Trina as the younger Braxton beauty takes the stage.
Not too sure about the title... but if she serves more I Heart Yous...
According to a recent live chat, Braxton revealed that the album will feature authentic R&B music, with elements of dance, pop and a fusion of Jewish and Arabic music. The album will present two sides: Heartstrings, the first disc, will feature nine songs that showcase Toni Braxton's roots as an R&B and dance artist, while the second disc, entitled Synagogue Vibes, will showcase Braxton touching on new trends by incorporating world, Jewish and Arabic music to the nine songs on the Heartstrings disc, a concept similar to Shania Twain's 2002 album, Up!, where Twain incorporated elements of different music genres in three discs of her album.
So its gonna be like 18 tracks (9 tracks are remixes????)
