I don't dislike Katy Perry, but I do think it's unfair she's so successful, whilst artists that work multiple-times harder struggle to even get radio support.

She doesn't have the wow factor that many of the other girls have. Yes, she has many hits slash #1s but so do the other girls. If someone asks for a good ballad or pop or dance song it's very unlikely that someone will have Katy on the tip of his/her tongue. She doesn't really stand out and will be remembered as the girl who put out hits but will be nothing more than that unless she does something iconic. We have yet to see her step out of the box and deliver as of yet. Maybe someday.

I supported Katy all throughout her One of the Boys era, when she was on top with I Kissed a Girl and on the bottom with Thinking of You. I defended the fact that she really didn't have any talent because she seemed genuine. Enter Teenage Dream and she seems so....I don't know. I don't want to say fake, but I can say her motivations for making music these days has changed to something that I do not really care for. She made a song like IKAG to breakthrough and ever since she's just doing whatever everyone else is doing. She has so much more potential too, but I am tired of her

Yet you stan for Nicki (I'm assuming, since you made the PF:RR album thread) who makes the same pop songs like Katy.

On topic, people are just jealous that Katy will never be the one-hit-wonder they so desperately wanted her to be.

Also i dont think her music really is that good, her hits are nice at times but they rarely have any substance whatsoever with maybe 2 or 3 songs as an exception. Her music just stays the same ( fluffy- cotton candy bubble gum pop).
Also shes not that interesting, her personality seems to fall a little flat at times to me idk
