and about the holland national holiday thing. The Piet's (the guys with black make up on) are people that work in chimney's that have been bad kids when they are young. So they are black because of the sut in chimney's. You all are too sensitive tbh.
When something like that doll is still around it causes some people to be alarmed.

That is not true. That's one of the versions out there but if you search the history of the Piets and the first children's book that they were mentioned in, they are refered to as black slaves. And if they're supposed to be white men, why do most wear afro's? I never heard of chimney dust acting as perm..
I don't know how is this racist, it's a cute doll, but ok
.. "life likeness", It's supposed to be about what black people look like. Dark with big lips. That's what's ****ed up about it. And that doll is not cute.

That reminds me of the "black" version of Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs by Warner Brothers....
It's called Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs.
Alot of animation historians and famous animators defend this cartoon for it's use of jazz and the fact that most of the music/vocals come from african-americans themselves. A rarity at the time. They also claim the creator was not a racist but wanted to highlight Black Talent.
It has remained on the 10 Banned Looney Toons list after all these years.
