I tried to update my iTouch to the latest software but my connection went out and the update failed. When I restarted my iTouch it was stuck on an Apple logo and a bar which isn't updating. When I plug it back to iTunes it said that I have to restore my iTouch and that all of my files will be lost. I haven't performed a back-up for months and I had a lot of songs in my iTouch.

Right now the screen only shows the iTunes logo and a plug.

Is it possible to recover songs from my iPod? Are there any software I could use to recover songs from my iPod before I restore/update my iPod? I need help.

Your not using the computer that has the iTunes?

Idk whenever I restore my phone it just takes all the songs off and puts them back on.

If it still mounts as a disk in recovery mode, then you can probably enable hidden folders (google it) and find everything there. Not sure though

But aren't the songs in your iTunes library anyway? So just restore and then re-sync your iPod

Are the songs not in your iTunes folder or some folder on your computer? if you're on a Macbook maybe you could try the Disk Utility recovery thing.

I manually manage my music. I drag the songs on my iTunes and then I delete the song from my computer. I don't have a back-up.

What possessed you to do that sis?

The only thing I can think of is finding some type of program that can recover deleted music files.

I do the same thing because I go from computer to computer, so it can not be on auto-sync.

Try this program. The trial is 30 days and you can transfer up to 1000 songs. Also, start putting your songs on both the iTunes library and the iPod, it is still doable with the manual manage.

But sis, I have more than 3,000 songs in my iTouch. How can I recover them all? I am now downloading the latest software and when its done it will update my itouch and all my files will be gone.

I need to find a software that could recover all my songs.

If you have a Mac, you can try *******ing a cracked copy of Senuti. It'll let you rip all the music from your ipod/iphone/ipod touch etc. It's one of the best programs for the job if you're using OSX.

I realized that such a program does not exist unless you pay for it

I used to do it the manual way on my older iPods, but now I learn that even that can not be done with the iTouch.

I mean, your only options is to pay the $20 for the program or ******* it like Amaru suggested.

I do that same thing, but I "consolidate" all the files.

It's in your iTunes media folder then.
