I don't know the USA as a whole, but Michigan is 'okay' when it comes to homophobia. Of course if you go to the dangerous parts in here, it's gonna be pretty homophobic, but Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County and some other places are pretty okay with the lgbt community.

The USA is well some areas are nice others are not. Chicago is friendly for the most part. People will obviously judge but you won't get your ass whooped.

Pretty homophobic, except for the capital city (Zagreb) where I live.

It's getting better, though. People are generally very religious and close minded, especially in smaller places. I feel bad for the LGBTQ ppl who live in small towns and villages here.
