Her rap songs haven't been bringing it as of late. Roman Reloaded is decent but she's done much better. That song isn't going to be a classic...referencing Basketball Wives and ****. Popnika is slaying us much harder.

The only thing I don't like about this track listing is that there are so many features in the beginning you have to stare at it for minutes to see every name, and then through the middle half to the end we get nothing. I'm still hella excited. Her urban/mixtapeonika fanbase will be satisfied.

Pink Friday was the same way and it was a good album.
Pink Friday was always influenced by Hip-Hop, though. Even the poppiest track, Super Bass, was Hip-Pop, as the rapping was the main focus of the song (check out all the covers on YouTube who are proud of themselves for learning the rap), but Starships is a new level of Pop where the rapping is almost non-existant amongst the production and breakdowns. In Pink Friday, Nicki merged the two genres together in the same songs, but on this one Nicki seems to have seperated the genres and it will sound messier. But yeah, I'll still enjoy the album.

Everything I've wanted to say and more. I don't understand why she can't just blend pop and hip-hop together, especially since she's done it before. RR is most certainly going to be a great album, but the point still stands regardless.
