1.) Unless you can do a huge organized support system contaning 100s (Maybe 1000s) of Britney fans, as well as having A LOT OF TIME ON YOUR HANDS, it will not happen.

2.) None of us know the real intentions of TRL when it comes to voting a video outside of the list. I doubt if you can succeed my first point that they'll put the video on the countdown.

3.) I don't really see a video retiring on the countdown to be that big of an honor anymore, especially considering the show's current flaws
a.) TRL's Producers have failed to give the fans what they want, who are their audience. Which is exactly why they have lost viewership over the years.
b.) They fail to keep an accurate and consistant scheadule for the show. (It needs to go back to 5 days a week) And now they move the show before kids are even home from school? The show is being treated terribly.
c.) Now in days the producers are more concerned about guests (some of whom do not have any sort of affilation to the top 10) than videos, thus stripping the main purpose of the countdown.
d.) They fail to give an adequete amount of running time for most of the videos on the countdown. (Such as giving 2:30 min running time for video #7, while Video #1 only plays for a measely 30 seconds.)
e.) I could go on some more about this. I kind of have a love-hate-love mindset about the show currently. I would just want to sit down with the Producers, who could have a much better show on their hands.

4.) Last I checked, a few of the previously retired videos weren't even recognized on MTV's TRL website. And the retiremant home page doesn't even have working links to some of the videos.
On top of that, the page design is absoultely forgetable.

My Prerogative was a great video, I LOVED THE SONG, but didn't do well anyways. It fell off due to people getting tired of it. 'Do Somethin' I also enjoy listening to, also another good video, but people got tired of it. It doesn't necessarily mean she's losing fans. Talk about losing fans, how the hell do you bring up Lindsay Lohan. You could have used a better example. Linsday's album doesn't have a chance at getting back on the Hot 200, EVER!!! Even with a single, it might get back at #200-#195, in that area and will be gone once again. At least Britney has had over 20 top 40 singles, several of those went top 20. Lindsay has had one lucky top 60 hit. The music business is not all about TRL you ass, its about album sales and radio play/singles sales and Lindsay doesn't have that. "Over" was a great song, but after that Lindsay lost it. She's gone for good, there's nothing she can do unless she releases another "Rumors" type of song, which I don't think she will. So think again about talking **** about Britney and trying to compare her with dumbass Lindsay Lohan.

What we really need to retire is "Mambo #5" by Lou Bega. Get with the program, people.
