That's also depend on personal taste I guess.For me the uptempo pop songs tend not to last long because of the reason I stated.
Stuffs like Rated R lasts better for me than Loud and TTT tbh


Not too specific on Umbrella but they're indeed. We barely got a pop classic nowaday with countless hit songs come and go

Exactly, loud sold 6m alone without a re-release in just a year, if she spaced out the singles more and maybe released one more single even though thats pushing it and then waited till summer 2012 to release her next album who knows where loud could be right now, 7m maybe but her album clause is definitely ruining her album sales. Apparently after her 6th album is finished being fully promoted, she will have to renew her contract so hopefully they will change it.

I hope so too. Its slowly killing her overall.

I hated it when it originally came out. I thought it was too urban for Rihanna and I didn't like Jay-Z. I didn't like the video either. I looked at it on MTV and thought, "This is NOT Rihanna. It doesn't look like her and Rihanna had brown hair. " Then , years later after Rihanna had become more established, I finally bought GGGBR and LOVED it.



Also, its a song about a damn Umbrella. Of course it's gonna be basic.There's a reason why it was passed around til it got to Mary then Rihanna wanted it.

It may not age very well but by any means it's basic. :x
