It's that time again! The MTV 2006 VMA noms are in, and music's biggest stars are ready to duke it out for a shot at their very own Moon Man!

The 2006 Video Music Awards, which take place in NYC at Radio City Music Hall, will be broadcast live on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. ET.

MTV's annual awards show highlights the year's hottest videos and music's brightest stars, handing out the coveted "Moon Man" awards for categories including Video of the Year, Best Male and Female Video, Best Cinematography and Best Special Effects.

This year's nominees and awards show performers were announced this morning, and the 2006 VMAs are sure to include some surprise winners and memorable performances!

Will KANYE WEST's "GoldDigger" video collaboration with JAMIE FOXX prove to be the golden touch this year? Will pop mainstay MADONNA win a Moon Man for "Hung Up," or will she be hung up to dry?

Other hot hitmakers who look to be VMA contenders this year include BEYONCE, KELLY CLARKSON and JAMES BLUNT.
