The news comes in the same week that reports have been suggesting [...] 'Starships' rapper Nicki Minaj [is] also in the process of writing [her] own book.

Right? It’s far, far too early for her to do this. It’s not like she has attained some huge degree of success. She comes across as extremely narcissistic, narrow-minded, and petty in ‘Who’s Laughing Now,’ attacking people who dissed her and whom she claims bullied her (I’m not buying that.) It’s as if she’s unable to deal with any sort of criticism, good or bad, and sees it an attempt to bring her down.

You don't think she was bullied? I could definitely see her getting knocked around cos people don't like her.
At school.
But yeah, she pretends to be some real artist who has had a troubled life when really she's just as generic as the next one, if not more - she doesn't have any direction at all.

Well, she did have a life before she was famous, too. I guess it will be a book about Jessica Cornish as opposed to a book just about Jessie J/her famous life.

She had a goddamn stroke
You know...when blood stops flowing to your brain?
Your perceived value of her success as a pop star doesn't discredit what she has overcome as a person. I think a lot of people who live with heart and stroke ailments could find solace in a success story like hers.

In an interview with ‘Cosmopolitan’ magazine about her latest single, ‘Who's Laughing Now,’ the feisty singer revealed that it was about bullies who tormented her while she was at school. Jessie said: "It wasn't horrific, but it's tough to be called names. It wasn’t really physical bullying, it's all cyberbullying, - things that people write, but would never say to your face. That hurts as much as someone hitting you does. It shouldn't be allowed."

Only the Sun reported that she said kids threw rocks at her in school. There are several articles questioning whether she lied about being bullied, since she opened up about it after the release of ‘Who’s Laughing Now.’

This is true though, and the only reason I don't COMPLETELY think it's a dumb idea.
I just wish she would take some of that, the drama and interest in her life, and use it for ha career.
Because she has no voice at all, in interviews or in ha tracks. She seems like a UK knock-off of the Dr. Luke Girlz

!!!
There would be heaps to write about just on health issues alone. And then there's her childhood to write about, and the whole backstory to being signed. The fame is just the tip of the iceberg to her life, and the book will show us what's underneath.

Yes, I know what a stroke is thanks.
She should help raise awareness and tell her story. It will bring more attention to it than this will., she's doesn't need to write an autobiography for that. She's not doing it to help anyone other than herself, don't make it out to be anything other than a cash-in on her newfound success.

She's pretty big here in Pakistan. And people here don't really care for Gaga, Perry, Rihanna, Bieber, Nicki etc.
There's very little impact of International artists here so Jessie being so famous really proves that she is WW to some extent.
And anyone who says she's generic hasn't listened to her music. Domino and Price Tag (maybe) are the only songs that can be called generic.
Some people (here on ATRL) say that she is soulless. Again, she is NOT.
I do agree that it's a little to early for an autobiography. But if bieber can write book AND make a movie about his life, i think Jessie will do just fine.

Yeah, it's too early for this. However if she wants to do it, then go ahead. She's been through a lot and there is probably things we still don't know about her. She's only publically touched on the top layers.

I don't know what I'm more concerned about : how long it'll be or who on Earth would sell that.
