Well, ideally, the first couple of singles should be selected to represent the content and artistry of an album as a whole. In this case, it seems like they weren't (based on reviews). It's not an individual's fault for judging MDNA based on GMAYL and GGW because there was nothing else concrete to judge it on. People shouldn't dismiss an album if parts of it are lackluster, though.
