I know everyone who is a big "stan" of someone feels that they know a lot about the music business, but do any of y'all seriously want to persue a career in that field. I'm talking about A&R, or working under a label. Sometimes I have dreams of being a record label boss, or working for promotion for an artist.

It would be a shame for some people to know so much about the music industry, for it to go to waste. Everyone talks that talk, but can they walk that walk. So I ask the question:

Do any of y'all wish to actually work in the music industry?

I only wanna work behind the scenes though.

I'm not sure what I'd wanna do, but I'd love to start small and work my way up becoming successful. Maybe engineer to producer? I write a lot, so probably start out doing that.

Maybe a writer, or an artist

It is my dream to be someone big in the industry. Producer, writer, agent, video director. I just love everything about music, it is my favorite form of expression. I feel like the world needs a different point of view from males in the industry. They are too stiff and afraid to being spontaneously creative. We need someone to represent that voice that may not be straight.

I would love to get my hand in the business of the music industry. It's my back up career plan if the whole film/tv/music video/photography career goes downhill.

I'd love to work for radio, like as an on-air personality. I'd love to be a creative director too.

I actually make music. I want to be an international pop star, but I don't have the money, the luck, the look, and I'm not all that talented either. My voice is more theatrical also, and wouldn't sound right in a pop song.

It's been one of my dreams to spread my lyrics through the industry. I already make mixes, but I'd rather just write for other people.

I want to be a producer, I'm going to school for music industry and music recording.

I sometimes want to be a radio person lol but then I see how passionate I get about certain artists' career so I want to be A&R or in charge of promotions for an artist. If I worked for the artist they would be on every dam talk show award show tv show everything lol

Yes! I've been recently thinking about this a lot. I am constantly following charts and radio and trends.. I understand a lot about promotion and why things work the way they do in the industry..sure there's a lot I don't know but I'd love to learn and have a job in the industry. I just have no idea where to start. I've been planning to research it though.

Music is my dream. I have to do something creative and artsy, I just have to. But my family says the music industry is a sinking ship.

Becoming an international pop sensation the likes of which the world has never seen is my backup plan in case my career as a dentist doesn't work out.

I feel like I could be a good video director, if I only knew how to operate cameras and stuff
