Will Lady Gaga/Interscope learn from the BTW era?
Will Lady Gaga/Interscope learn from the BTW era?
Not all of Gaga's stans are delusional. For the most part, we are aware that the Born This Way era was less successful than The Fame/The Fame Monster era's in terms of longevity, commercial reception, airplay, video quality/views etc. So, taking this into account, will Gaga and Interscope capitalise on the Born This Way era's downfalls and make Gaga's next era her most successful yet? I'm hopeful, and this is due to recent changes in Gaga and her teams general behaviour. To the surprise of many, Gaga stans knew about 'Born This Way' way back in November 2009, when a week after the release of The Fame Monster, RedOne confirmed to MTV that he and Gaga were back in the studio recording; and from there, the hype begun. This time around, Gaga has only spoke a couple of times about her plans for the next album, and she and her team haven't hyped it to the high heavens, as of yet. Secondly, the plug was pulled on MTN by Interscope, thus signalling the end of the BTW era. She has finally worked with a professional director, Stephen Klein, who was the director of the 'Alejandro' video, on her new perfume commercial, and Interscope has not let the Haus take complete creative control over the project. Also, a reliable Gaga insider has confirmed that the sound of the new album will be more commercial, and more TFM-esque. So, is this a sign of Gaga learning from her mistakes, or will she end up with another messy era like the BTW era?
