I think he's putting out this new music to get a general feel of what the fans want for the album. Someone working on the album said that Chris had enough material for about 4 albums, and Chris said that the release date is so far away in order to allow for adjustments if fans want a particular track or what not. He seems really in tune with his fans this era, I love it.
