Both country artists have crossed over the pop genre. Both artists have worldwide success in one of their albums, Fearless for Taylor Swift and Come On Over for Shania Twain. In the late 90's, Shania was widely popular and in the late 2000, Taylor connected with the world and became a music superstar. In spite selling millions of records in US alone, both artists have never scored a # 1 hit on Billboard Hot 100.
The question is, who is a better country/pop artist?
Taylor Swift is a country phenomenon but local. Shania was a country anomaly worldwide. It was near impossible for anyone in this world not to know Shania Twain unless they were truly living under a rock.
