J.C. Chasez has enlisted the help of former 'NSync bandmate Justin Timberlake for two tracks on the follow-up to his 2004 album 'Schizophrenic.'
The boys reunited to co-write and produce 'God Bless America' and 'Until Yesterday,' the first single from Chasez's upcoming effort. "We had a lot of fun," Chasez tells AOL Music. "'Until Yesterday' is a lot of Beatles-meet-Freddy Mercury. That guy was so operatic and entertaining, and the song is a soap opera."
Though the former boy-banders both release their new records later this year, Chasez says it didn't put them off collaborating. "The records are two different worlds. They really are," he says. "We're not competing in any way, shape or form.
"It's hard for people to imagine. But we have two very different stories to tell, and we had a lot going on in our lives the last four or five years that we've been apart. You really can't play one record on my album that sounds like any one of his records."
Other producers on the record include Dallas Austin and Nelly Furtado's recent duet partner Timbaland. Chasez says listeners will be surprised at his new direction.
"Everything I've been working on is mainly guitar-based," he says.
YOU MADE MY DAY!!!! I love JC so much!!! I want to hear Until Yesterday now. Freddy Mercury/Beatles would be an awesome mix!! I will be buying JC's album just like the last one!!! Atleast he has better producers this time. He was the most talented out of all those boy-band guys. He should do R&B music though. His voice is suited for that. I heard one new song from him & I didn't really like it. Hopefully it's a b-side or somthing.
There were lots of good songs on "Schizophrenic", it was a shame it flopped. So, a song by JC with Justin in it? Sounds like 90% of NSYNC's old material, huh?!
JC is definetely the best one in NSYNC. He deserves success the most. He even wrote some of the songs while he was in NSYNC. & his debut cd had a very unique sound and style. Shake It is still one of my fave songs. & he can dance just as good as Justin. Remember when he was on the Wade Robson show? I'll support JC even if his new album is crap.
JC is talented, there's no denying that. His songs were catchy and fun, so the flop is completely, hmm, mysterious.
The flop is not mysterious; it flopped because he took a chance with a different sound and because it wasn't R&B and Hip/Hop. Anyway, he said his new song is a mix between the beetles and another person I've never heard off, if it's true then it will flop.

Freddy Mercury (R.I.P.) was the lead singer of Queen. He's also one of the best singers of all time. Queen has had numerous hits and a lot of their songs are sampled today. So JC's song isn't necessarily bad. I'm not sure if this is the 1st single but here:http://media.yearofchasez.net/audio.html
I really like this song:I'm Not Sleeping Alone

I didn't say it was bad, I said people won't like it because it's not R&B or Hip/Hop.
That's actually not his first single. His first single is called "Until Yesterday". It's a song he wrote with Justin.
Yeah I just found that out. I assumed it was because it leaked first. I just posted a link to download the song. JC said that he's still remixing and mastering the album. The I'm Not Sleeping Along version that leaked isn't the actual finished version. I love it though.
