Who was bigger at their Peak and who has maintained there Global fanbase better

Well, Britney literally had the world in the palm of her hand, and Mariah never had that. However, fan base wise it's harder to say as both of them have probably two of the most loyal core fanbases around.

Britney was way bigger at her peak. And as for maintaining their fan bases, it's about the same. But Britney did lose a lot of her fans back in 07.

Emancipation has nothing on her career from 1993 - 1996, and i don't know why people on here seem to ignore that.

It's probably just due to how long ago it was, and the fact that there is such a disconnect between pre-Butterfly and post-Butterfly Mariah.

Britney's BOMT era seemed alot bigger than any single Mariah era even though Music Box did outsell BOMT internationally (mainly due to Asia). I think it has to do with the media aspect of it as Mariah's star power was never near Brits, nor did she have memorable performances or videos.

Statistically Mariah wins but to the general public and "in real life", the answer is def Brit.
