Batman grossed half a billion outside of the united states, roughly the same as Spider-Man 3. It just sold way more in the US as well. Batman was a huge movie worldwide. Not to mention Arkham City and Arkham Asylum, Arkham City was more pre-ordered than MW3 was the number one game on all the platforms it was released on and sold 2 million units in its first week. It was the seventh best selling game in 2011.
Batman is a huge multi-media franchise that is the top of the game in comics, movies, cartoons and video games.
