once you get the topic, how much time do you have to prepare? a few minutes, at least? it would be good to learn how to prep a speech outline on the spot so your speech can have a little structure once you find out your topic. this one works well:
Attention Getting Device: Some short story or anecdote that has to do with your topic
Thesis: A clear, concise statement about what you're going to talk about today
1. Your first point
a. Sub pt/example
b. Sub pt/example
2. Your second point
a. Sub pt/example
b. Sub pt/example
Conclusion: Restate your AGD, Thesis, and review your 2 main points.
