Will it sound darker? She said in one of The Lorax interviews that she would never want to go dark.

The 'dark' that she talked about was the Britney/Rihanna/Katy 'dark'. Which is, not so far away from what I would say as bubblegum music. Adele's songs are perfectly described what I would call as 'Facebook songs'.
I have a feeling that the 'going deeper' direction she tried to tell us is, songs like Jamey Johnson/Kris Kristofferson/Emmylou Harris. And since she's been into Joni & Carole, it's just getting clear by time. Just don't hope if she sings about politics like Springsteen.

Tbh, I think 'Eyes Open' won't be a good indicator either. Since T-Bone is the head of this project, and she said that she learned from everyone, it sounds like she 'followed' T-Bone for 'Eyes Open'.
EDIT: I'm ready for a 10 mins song. Man, I missed the era when there were songs longer than the usual format yet still got airplay.

A song as long as that. I'll be in heaven.
I hope so, she said it's a musical departure but not too far. But I agree with Eyes Open, excited to hear it very soon.

Yes I love those types of songs and having Dear John and Enchanted be so well written gives me hope she can pull it off in fact it seems her best songs are her long ones

Kris Kristofferson, yes. I literally have no clue because she said it's a departure. I'm sure she won't, she recently said that in the Bazaar magazine article.

One will never understand her if you try to apply her words to current pop culture. Cause apparently, 'dark, departure' = wears little next to nothing clothes, sings explicit songs (about the sex).
While what she actually means is, 'dark, departure' = songs about entering adulthood. And songs about sleep over, are songs like 'Sparks Fly'. Or the loneliness feeling that everyone has when getting older.
Don't bother to talk about 'growing as an artist' to people with severe case of short attention span.

And there's no radio cut version!
Jeez, fingers crossed for collaborations with under-the-radar artists.
Ah, it's been months since the last time I played a Dylan record.

She said in the Harper Bazaar article that she won't be singing about Politics anytime soon, as she feels she doesn't know enough about it yet.
quote :
With such a massive fan base, does she ever feel the need to be more outspoken -in either her public or personal life- about causes important to her?
"That will happen gradually. But I don't feel that I am in a place to sing about politics or anything like that. I don't know enough at this point. It's such a blessing to have nine-point-something million twitter followers.....but I think that I have to very cautious of the way that I use that."
End quote.
I'm glad of this, I usually lose interest in musician's and their music when they start feeling the need to indoctrinate their followers or promote their own political agenda and denigrate anyone that has different views.

on who I'd like to see her collaborate with....I'd love to have a Kris Kristofferson collab, Jamey Johnson collab...and a couple collabs with classic female country singers like Alison Krausse or Patty Loveless.
Taylor's promoted so many other artist's music by covering it..I wish some country artists would do some good covers of her's too, Of course I'm sure I'd prefer Tay's originals but I'd still like to hear some covers by legitimate, respected artists.

Yeah! Glad that she won't sing about politics. Politics & religions, I hate those topics when it comes to music. There's a place to talk about them, but please, don't drag in to music.
Taylor Swift
I just kung-fu kicked a table. And it ****ing hurts. So thanks for that pic. Good laugh. That expression.

Great suggestions!
But as far as I remember, Alison Krauss didn't write. But she did co-write some.
Ha. Those artists think it's a downgrade to cover her songs, 100 Francs that I'm right. Well, no problem actually.

Wonder if this 'If Kisses Were Wishes' song is true. It sounds too cheesy.

Someone posted this today on Taylor connect but I'm not sure if it's accurate enough.

This is all the information I know about her next album:
It will most likely be called "Chase The Wind"
Taylor has already written 25 songs for it
I've heard the first single will be called "Her Diary" or something
I also heard that there is going to be 2 unreleased songs on it
It should come out around October of this year
Does anyone know anything else?

That's just a song that she wrote when she couldn't sleep, and never meant as a serious song. And she told it to a fan at T-party. Yep.
And you. Stop playing around with Photoshop! I'm lol-ing so damn hard while my toes are still hurting.

Alison Krauss has only co-wrote one song in her career however her husband helped write two of her songs lol
