Orianthi is someone who the big labels we’re just trying to make a quick buck off of which is unfortunate because she is one of the most talented upcoming musicians today. Her label made some critical mistakes in establishing her post according to you.
With that said, she has actually been doing pretty well. She has moved on as a solo artist and has been working closely with Dave Stewart on her album which should be out in the next few months but don’t expect any radio airplay or major promo unless you are in Japan/Australia. She did release a 5 song EP “Fire” a few months back you can find it on iTunes it’s pretty awesome. Here is link to a preview.

As a collaborator she has been busy most notably with A.R Rahman, which she did guitar work for the song Saada Haq (Rockstar movie) which became a big hit in India.
She has done a world tour as Alice Cooper’s guitarist which she will continue this summer and is still regarded as one of the top upcoming guitarists. Future is still bright just not as a big mainstream artist.
