Drake knows you think his music is mopey and emotional. And Drizzy doesn’t care one bit. While addressing the fact that fans and critics stereotype his music as ‘emo,’ Drake says he’s more versatile than any simple stereotype–and also says he isn’t switching from what makes him him.

If you don't like it, change the station or better yet don't buy his CD's. Other people love his songs, he shouldn't stop just to appease those who don't even like him to begin with.

If I don't like it, I'll continue to criticize him just like any other artist. His music is great. The depressing aspect of it can be amazing sometimes. But sometimes its overkill and really immature IMO. He can do whatever he wants, just like I can criticize him as much as I want.

When people obsessively criticize something for being different or progressive, it's like a defense mechanism. They're scared as **** that things will change and that they'll have to adjust their narrow-minded views, so they try to stop it from happening.
