Ke$ha's album did better than britney's album. Ke$ha's first single did better than all of britney's singles combined! All her singles have been worldwide smashes even with the lack of promotion and worldwide knowledge. I mean Ke$ha still needs to make a name for herself yet she still had more success worldwide then britney with Animal & Cannibal compared to Femme Fatale.. Blow is more successful then TTWE because while blow might not have a higher charting, it had longetivity and sold more.
TTWE is a great song for britney yet, but Ke$ha sang those choruses much better. And while I agree Ke$ha doesn't really sing about sexy things, there is no proof that she would not have switched it up a bitch and been not successful. Ke$ha would have gotten more success with that song worldwide if it was the second single.
It would have been more successful. Blow's performance is irreverent to this. Like the above poster said, Kesha is currently stronger digitally and on radio than Britney.
I mean... she sounds so awkward singing it. It could've been more successful, but it definitely fits Britney's voice better. This version is just fan made, btw.
"Animal" sold more in the US and WW than "Femme Fatale" did. Tik Tok and WRWWR performed better than HIAM. Keep laughing I guess.
Animal sold more because it had the massive hit tik tok supporting it and A LOT more promotion, not to mention it was her first album and FF was britney's 9th (including GH:MP and SC).
Her next album will be lucky to sell as much as FF did.
And once again WRWWR has only sold more than HIAM because of the US. Kesha isnt that big worldwide at all, HIAM has sold 2-3 million outside of the US alone.
The only place kesha has more of a pull than britney is the US. Worldwide it's not even close.
'Till The World Ends' would have gone #1 hadn't it leaked. It wasn't supposed to be released until mid-March, but it leaked, so they rush-released it. It had only three days of sales and debuted on the Hot 100 with almost 120,000 copies sold. It sold 237,000 over a seven-day period and it had 21.4 million audience impressions at the time, which would have likely secured it the top spot.
Her next album will be lucky to sell as much as FF did.

I truly disagree, Animal didn't have a lot of promotion... And there is no way HIAM sold 3 million WW.
Oh and Ke$ha is much bigger WW, WRWWR debuted at #1 in UK and Australia/Canada are here for her... Britney... not so much.

Not to mention 'Femme Fatale' leaked over 3 weeks before the release date, with no promotion whatsoever prior to the release week. How is everyone supposed to buy it if they’re not aware it’s out? Ke$ha had heavy and consistent promo.

The only place Ke$ha has a pull is the US really.
Are you serious?! She's Britney Spears, everyone knew she had a new album out and TTWE was all over the radio.

'Tik Tok' alone was promoted more than all of Britney's post-2003 singles combined:
- MTV Push
- BBC 1's Big Weekend
- VMAs Japan
- Alexa Chung
- Wendy Williams
- Lopez Tonight
- Jimmy Fallon
- Conan O'Brien
- Ellen DeGeneres
- SNL
- Today Show
- EMAs
'Hold It Against Me' sold 3.5 million worldwide. You're forgetting:
I truly disagree, Animal didn't have a lot of promotion...

To promote the album, Kesha did several performances worldwide. Her first performance was on MTV Push, a program broadcast on MTV Networks worldwide.[55] She made several television appearances across North America to promote the album: It's On with Alexa Chung, The Wendy Williams Show, Lopez Tonight, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[56] "Blah Blah Blah" was performed on January 18, 2010 at MuchOnDemand.[57] While in the United Kingdom, Kesha made two appearances on television to promote the album and "Blah Blah Blah". The first was on February 18, 2010, on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.[58]
It was followed by a performance on breakfast television show GMTV, on February 19.[59] The song was also performed live on American Idol on March 17, 2010.[60] She wore her trademark glitter eye make-up and bounced throughout the stage while her backup dancers were dressed as human TV sets showing intermittent images of the American flag, owls, and skulls. The performance was accompanied by 3OH!3.[61]Kesha performed "Your Love Is My Drug" and "Tik Tok" on Saturday Night Live on April 17, 2010.[62] On May 29, 2010, Kesha performed "Your Love Is My Drug" alongside her previous single "Tik Tok" at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan.[63] She performed a set for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.[64]
On August 13, 2010 Kesha performed "Take It Off" alongside earlier singles "Your Love Is My Drug" and "Tik Tok" on NBC's Today.[65] In the performance she was seen wearing boots, fishnets, glitter shorts and a loose tank top. By the second verse, her dancers – dressed head to toe in black – started to appropriately undress to the music as the chorus starts revealing gold shirts and tank-tops. The performance featured smoke machines with Kesha playing notes on an electric keyboard while crawling on the floor.[66] Her performance of "Backstabber" for the Bud Light Hotel Super Bowl event on February 5, 2011 was broadcast on February 9 on Jimmy Kimmel Live.[67][68]
Compared to:
Femme Fatale: GMA
Jimmy Kimmel
30 second appearance at the Billboard Music awards.
Yet: Animal - 2 million (Kesha's first album)
FF - 1.6-1.7 Britney's 7th album (9th including GH and SC)
Not that far off. Animal should be at 4 million MINIMUM with the amount of promotion it had and the fact that it was released when she was the 'IT' girl and had Tik tok supporting it.

Nope.

It has sold around 3-4 million worldwide. It's sold 700-800K in south korea ALONE. I'm pretty sure it's sold at least 1 million in other places outside the US.

The only place you listed where britney isn't that relevant is UK, due to lack of promo. Britney's big in both Australia and Canada. HIAM and TTWE both hit the top 10 in more countries than WRWWR and IWG hit the top 10 in more countries than blow.
Are you serious?! She's Britney Spears, everyone knew she had a new album out and TTWE was all over the radio.
'Till The World Ends' didn't do **** on radio until April. It was a bigger radio hit for Britney than usual, but it wasn't nowhere nearly as big as Katy's/Rihanna's/Gaga's/Ke$ha's singles are on radio. It didn’t even crack 100 million, for God’s sake. She's a huge name, but she's not into promo anymore, which caused the album to underperform. People can't buy the album if they aren't aware it's out.
