It missed Nashville. They let schools out, close business and everything. They said on the radio and tv that it was the biggest storm system to ever hit Nashville and could be more devastating than the flood.

Nothing happened.

It's just been such a ****** past year with all the tornadoes that it's hard to feel any kind of shock any more. I'm desensitized to all of it

Did you watch the MSN video? Literally, TOWNS, got wiped off the map. Might as well not even re-build there. It's quite sad. Not just one town, but a whole bunch got destroyed.

No, it just means with internet/news they get more attention these days. But also these storms are getting more aggressive in size and stronger. It's time we wake up and try to change the way we live.

Or maybe they are just trying to scare us. I'm sure we had horrible tornadoes in the past, 1930's, that were to this magnitude, it just wasn't broadcasted like it was today...

Move out of the south they get tornados all the time.

To be honest Mother Nature forgot to take her bipolar disorders pills because she's been a bitch to everyone but especially the South and Japan.

It got a little personal last year when my Grandma was alive. She lives in Alabama and of course last year in April all those tornadoes came smashing through. Me and my Dad were worried about her but she wasn't affected. She died in October just because she was very old and sick from Alseimers but at least she wasn't killed by a tornado.

Anyways, this is sad! But I'd rather have tornadoes hit the South than hit Cali, Florida, New York, London, Paris, or Hawaii.

And for the record, tornadoes always get media coverage so don't say we haven't had extremely bad tornadoes because they have ALL been covered in recent years.

Joplin Missouri though took it hardest.

It's a lost cause trying to convince our government of it.

Seen the coverage on CNN, this is really sad.

1-Indiana doesn't necessarily count as the south.
2-I am SCARED of Tornadoes.This is sad.

3-Technically,Florida IS considered part of The South.

Why are you so obsessed with the end of the world? Those places experience tornadoes every-single year.

Wtf? You'd rather tornadoes hit the south than those cities? Why not wish for tornadoes to not happen at all and kill no one?

The worst tornados were in the 1800s-early 1990s, so no this is not uncommon. Certain storms just get really strong. Mentioning 2012/end of the world with this is ignorant. It's also not history, after the 2011 outbreak.
