Yes, this needs to be discussed.
The Freemasons have saved Beyonce (and countless other Music World artists) on so many occasions with superb remixes of shockingly awful/underwhelming tunes.
For me, it's a toss up between their remix of Greenlight and their take on Ring the Alarm.
Here's how Beyonce's career should have gone: In between B'Day and IASF (or perhaps instead of IASF, because it may not have been possible to push out another album in that short gap) she should have released an album of thumping house tunes with the Freemasons at the helm on the production front. This massive wave of dance-pop (it's sure to collide with the shore and come crashing down at any moment) was hardly a ripple in 07-08, but Freemasons and Beyonce really have some chemistry, and I really think some Freemason/Beyonce house tunes could have taken off. And had that happened, Beyonce could have had a claim as an "originator" of this trend, but she doesn't have that sort of foresight, and I guess I can't hold that against her.
