You consider yourself RATIONAL or DELUSIONAL (RE: MUSIC)
Do you assess things with an open mind or are you delusional?
In some fans' eyes, their favorite entertainers can do no wrong and are perfect in every way. To have such a mindset is quite delusional. Can you be critical of your fav while also giving their due when it's deserved? Which one do you consider yourself as?
Being rational =/= Being able to see flaws in your favs work
Because art is art and you fav should be able to do whatever the hell they want to express themself. You're entitled to dislike it but you are not allowed to try and dictate what they should do. They're the artist. Your the fan. idk why some ppl on atrl dont understand that.
To be honest, I doubt there's such thing as a completely rational stan. Fans can be rational, but stans have to be atleast somewhat delusional. That's what makes them stans and not fans.
I don't have one favorite artist and I don't stan for anyone, but for me, pointing out and acknowledging someone's flaws is an important component of liking that artist. I'm proud of being fairly rational this way.
Believe it or not, we Bey stans do clock Bey. It's just not out in the open, because you have those who want to use our critiques as ammunition in the next stan war. Her delusional stans drag the rational stans most of the time.
Rational: I know the extent of the greatness of my fav, music and etc.
When something isnt right I call my fav on it. I applaud other artist/music as well as debunk it when it not so great. I keep it real tbh.
The same really can't be said about many Atrl members.
I think if we all are honest with ourselves, we fall in the middle of rational and delusional. Some lean more so to the other, while most would typically fall somewhere in the middle.
It depends. I tend to be kinda deluded when it comes to Britney, but with Gaga i'm very critical. I guess it's because I have higher expectations for Gaga.
