Since the beginning of ATRL, members have constantly faked their pictures and pretended to be someone that they're not. It makes me wonder why would they do such a thing.
Why do you think some members do it? + Would you fake your pictures, if you knew that you wouldn't get caught?
In a way, I can kind of understand it. There's alot of pressure, especially on a site like this, to be on somebody like Francisco Lachowski's level in the looks department, and many people are too insecure to post a real photo of themselves. Plus, if somebody drags your looks and you're using a fake photo, no harm is done. But I still don't think that posting fake pictures is a good idea. If you aren't comfortable posting a real photo, then you shouldn't feel obligated to post at all.
In all honesty, I used to really shun those people. Call them pathetic. Look down on them. But, now I guess I can understand why some do it. Low self esteem is a bitch I guess.
If I was insecure I just would not post a picture. Which is what I am doing right now. Plus, anyone can see the pictures people post without registering.
No idea. I only share my Facebook (and, thus, my pictures) with members I am actually close to. Otherwise I don't feel the need for everyone to know what I look like
If your insecure or have low self-esteem, just don't post a picture. It's that simple. I would think it would more humiliating being caught posting fake pictures.

If they have a low self esteem, why should they fake a picture? It's not like pretending you're someone else is going to make you look any better.
