I mean...i personally can't her doing otherwise as i dont feel she has the edge for it but i think its great that shes trying to break away from that and expand herself, every artist needs that

E.T. and Firework are NOT an 'average bubble gum pop'.
Teenage Dream is but it still has (to me) a big meaning.
She can take away songs like LFN and Cali Gurls, I hate these types of songs...

I kinda feel the same.I don't want her to continue this tacky image(hair, outfits etc.etc.) but when it comes to music we all love Katy for her fun tunes.

Hot N Cold,Teenage Dream & E.T. are definitely not average pop tunes.I would love more of that on next album.
Of course I'm not here for Tik Tok leftovers,Part Of Me & Last Friday Night type of songs.

Also this.
Bottom line... This kinda feels like 2009, when Rihanna stated that it would be 'stupid' to release another album similar to GGGB, and that she's going in different direction. Thing is,
EVERYONE WANTED THE NEXT GGGB. For God's sake, I still do. And then we got Rated R. Amazing album, but not what most of her fan base wanted, and it put her career to risk.
At the end of the day, I don't need Katy for dark-edgy sound, I just want fun, (also emotional) songs that remind me of good things in life, unforgettable summers, people i love, what it feels to be happy, and such things, and Teenage Dream reminds me of that, which makes it one of my favourite albums ever, and I'm not that much into pop genre anyways.
