Because people - including gays - perpetuate them. If you really believe that gay people shouldn't be judged and pigeonholed by their sexuality, then stop making gay men out to be some kind of a third gender separate from other males. Homosexuality is just that - a sexual preference - the only thing that should define it is lust for the same sex. You don't pigeonhole gay men expecting them all to act flamboyantly and wear flowing blond weaves, do you? There was a time in society when pants and suit jackets were off-limits for women, but do you call a woman a lesbian for wearing them? No. So stop putting all straight men into a box. It stunts our society's growth and keeps us from evolving past old-fashioned gender roles. Stop making "gay" into a subculture that claims certain fashion and behaviors only for themselves. Stop making a big deal out of sexuality, stop calling everyone a *** for not conforming to outdated ideals of masculinity from the 1960s and maybe that would help ease some homophobia? It has to go both ways you know. Christ.
And to think I came in here to talk **** about Tyga for his anti-gay outburst...

You know what?
It is the gay community that has been oppressed and prejudiced against for decades by American society. What is funny to me is that a person like Tyga can attempt to be fashion forward with his old lady jewelry, but still come out with homophobic slurs. Believe me, the homosexual community is not oppressing anybody since we are a minority.
Tyga can keep that tired, basic, and delayed New Years Eve party-jewelry and the ratchet face tattoos. Godt knows that he needed someone with fashion sense in his life to keep him in check.
