Lana Del Rey has confirmed that her new single 'Blue Jeans' is set to be released on April 8th.
In the end, the backlash couldn't prevent Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die' becoming one of the fastest selling debuts in a long, long time. Smashing into the charts at number one, the album has already spawned the massive hit single 'Video Games'.
Initially, 'Video Games' was released with 'Blue Jeans' on the flip. Now the B-side is to gain a bit of single action under its own steam, with Lana Del Rey scheduling a release for later this Spring.
Due to be released on April 8th, 'Blue Jeans' will come equipped with an array of remixes. 'Video Games' was remixed to within an inch of its life, with both official and bootleg cuts taking the track in multiple directions.
'Blue Jeans' will come equipped with a bumper remix package with D/R/U/G/S, Blood Orange, Kris Menace and RAC handling remix duties.
Available as a digital download, Lana Del Rey's 'Blue Jeans' will also receive a seven inch vinyl pressing.
'Blue Jeans' will be released on April 8th. Here she is live at the Premises.
Dark Paradise is pretty much the only song that can get a good radio remix to pop-up the beat and it'd actually get pretty good radio support. I think if they make that a single, it could actually gain some sort of Hot 100 success. I just can't see Blue Jeans doing that.
Blood Orange is phenomenal. If you're familiar with Grizzly Bear (Chris Taylor) and Twin Shadow, his music is very similar. His sound would work perfectly with Lana Del Rey and "Blue Jeans" especially.
