Simon Cowell on Britney and Janet Joining The X Factor

Simon Cowell has yet to say who might fill the two vacant judges' chairs on "The X Factor," but he's revealed that both Britney Spears and Janet Jackson would make good choices.
The British TV mogul called into "The Billy Bush Show," where he spoke "hypothetically" about the possibility of the two pop stars joining the show.
"I'm fascinated by [Britney.] The fact that she's one of the most talked about - not just pop stars - but people in the world today, means that you've got this star power," Simon told Billy Bush when asked about the rumors of Britney joining the show - stressing that he could neither confirm nor deny who he and the show's producers have spoken with.
"This girl has got resilience," he said of the pop princess. "I would think that if she's managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, ['X Factor' would be] a walk in the park."
Billy pointed out that Britney has not had the free forum that "The X Factor" would provide her in many years.
"I would be fascinated to hear what she had to say," he explained. "She's still hot, she's still having hit records and she's still controversial, there's a reason for that."
Simon also spoke briefly about the possibility of Janet becoming a judge, saying, "Would she be a good judge? Yes."
The biting Brit explained to Billy that the upcoming season of his reality completion series would be different than the first.
"We're making a new show this year," he continued. "We have to put much more emphasis on the contestants this year."

She would be so awful on the show Can you imagine? She'd be so awkward, but really sweet to everyone..She'd boost their ratings for sure. I don't think she needs X Factor, she's better than that. She should work on her performing skills (no shade, seriously) and perform on TV a lot more and just try to regain the stardom of that.
I think they would both be good, but I can't see Britney doing it. I feel like she's still too popular to do this show. They should do Janet with someone like Avril or Fergie.
I think it would be good for Britney if Janet is on the panel with her. I think that Britney would open up more because her and Janet would be fun and jokey together lol. I can picture them laughing at something together and SImon not knowing what's so funny lmao
I love them both so much but I really don't want to see either one of them be a judge on that show, or any reality show for that matter.
Britney & Janet are both soft spoken and shy, they're basically one in the same personality wise. They're too nice and sweet to say anything negative. They won't add nothing to the show.
Why are people so fast to call Britney off as a judge? For me it seems like she's the bitchy-sweet type, she'll always be very kind to you but when she got something to say, she'll sting you like a bee while staying graceful and objective.
I don't want Britney on X Factor. She's above it, and if she is put on the panel, I will have to tune in every week, and I don't feel like making that sort of commitment to a show that has been so damn underwhelming.
