I kind of agree, FB is more in tune to our age group. But Myspace allows your personality to come out more than that site.

I don't know what's so special about myspace, It is so overrated. There is Hi5 that is way better and faster than myspace.I think it's just a trend.

Sadly ive come to hate myspace because of the idiots at my school and other local high schools that use it...theyre all OMGz im so scene im gonna post 50million pics in weird angles and post bulletins saying "comment my piczzzz plz" and then another hundred bulletins that are either chain letters or things saying "am i sexii?". I find it all really annoying, The only reason i still keep mine is because ive grown attached, and its cool to keep in touch with friends and stuff. However i only check mine like once or twice every two weeks from now on. I guess its just not my thing.

That's insane.
Especially since Facebook owns (not literally) MySpace.

Wow!! I didn't know that MySpace was that big! I can't believe it displaced Google, I thought Google was the undisputed #1 king? And I didn't know Yahoo was actually at the #1 spot either. I don't know what it is about that social networking thing, but I haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet and I don't really care to.

yep this has happened to me as well, my mom hates that i have a myspace & i actually got tired of gettin in trouble because of it & by that i mean with all the stories on the news & primetime & then my mom comeing to me & finding a reason to yell at me. I got fed up with it & decided to delete it.

Not to mention almost all the adults i know glare at me when they find out i have one, which gets old after awhile.

My myspace is staying regardless if 90million+ other profiles are out there.

okay, so about this rape stories. How do older men find out about these 15 year old girls. Can someone explain that. Obviously the pictures is part of the story and where they live. So I'm assuming they put the two together and find them???? Or do they become friends with them and ask them where they live and they tell them. We live in a sick sick world today. I have a Myspace and I'm not deleting, like c'mon. I love my way mine looks. Here's some ways I think it should happen.

Only Friends/People you know should view your pictures.
Keep where you live unknown, besides the state.

....yeah that's about it I guess. People just need to watch out what they put in thier bulletions. Some people say, Hey come to my house tonight, I'm having a party. Obviously that is a threat to unknown onlookers who became friends with them. Just because a guy can't GET SOME, doesn't mean he has to take it out on a poor helpless girl. Like look at me, I can't get a girlfriend and I'm 20 years old and still haven't gotten anything, and do I go out raping girls because I want some. No. People need to realize theirs more to life then just themselves. Grow up. Parents shouldn't have to be worried about thier kids having myspace. It should be a safe environment and nothing to worry about. Look at my Myspace. Does it look very THREATING to you for strangers to look at, not really. I hope not, oh crap, I'm going to look just one more time and make sure...Anyways, just be careful people if your going to have one. Don't be stupid and post a million pictures and tell where you live and such like that. People can be very sick sometimes in this world. Peace out.

Well, the only people who get raped, in my opinion, are the stupid girls who go "OMG this is my address! Come visit me! Look at my ****ty pictures!" Of course, I guess usually there is a bit more involved, like the rapist gets to know the person, then they get the person to trust them, and stuff. :P

Okay so if thats so it's not Myspace fault it's the girls fault. Omg, seriously. They should be pulling these young girls off the internet until thier more mature. Stop blaming Myspace for the users fault.

I have to agree. If the girls (and I guess some guys?) would use enough common sense to not give random people their addresses, it probably wouldn't be a big problem :P But then again, it's sad that you can't trust people...

I am tired of seeing all these stories on TV about girls getting raped or killed by people they met on the Internet. You have to be careful who you talk to and give info to. And you must NEVER go alone when you do meet them in person. And adults think so badly of the Internet and Myspace because of these horror stories that they hear because the news seems to only tell you about the bad things, never the positive. Trust me, I have heard it all, as some of you know, i met my boyfriend online, and people look down on you and get all paranoid whenever you mention the internet. Yes it's an extremely crazy thing to do but you must do it safely

Myspace is a great place to keep in touch with friends from school that you might have lost contact with or just to communicate with those you already have or to find out about new music or show off your creativity. You shouldnt let what other people say or think stop you from going on the site

These people need to quit complaining about MySpace, not to mention blaming it for everything.

Facebook is so much better than Myspace.

But both are just massive time-wasters imo.
