Is 'Judas' underrated? I personally think that it's one of the best songs on the album, but a lot of people tend to disregard it just because it's been labelled a 'flop,' when in reality it didn't b/c it was practically Top 10 around the world; however, I do feel that this is one of the main reasons for people generally disregarding the song because it's not uncommon for people to just label it a 'flop single' and then forget about it. It's kinda weird though because it's the video with the most views from the entire Born This Way Era.
I think its misunderstood. It was to controversial for mainstream radio to accept.
The song itself is most obviously some of gaga's best work to date if you can look past the religious symbolism which was very intellectual and creative and not done in a cheap tacky way.
flopped for the right reason. The pretentiousness oozes out of this song. I couldn't get over it even though the production is amazing!
It only really flopped in the US b/c of the lack of radio support because of the religious undertones, at least it made the Top 10. It was Top 10 practically everywhere else worldwide and stayed there for a few weeks.
