It was a night Adele will never forget but it’s been revealed the singer was hiding secret heartache at this week’s Brit Awards.
The ‘Someone Like You’ singer’s grandmother reportedly had a heart attack shortly before the ceremony. Just hours before she scooped two awards at Tuesday night’s event, Adele was apparently holding a bedside vigil for 68-year-old Rose who helped raise her.
The Sun on Sunday reports that Adele cancelled all other commitments following her grandmother's collapse in a South Wales supermarket. The singer’s grandmother is now recovering at her home following surgery but Adele apparently refused to leave her relative until doctor’s gave her the all-clear. A friend told the paper:
"Adele was panic-stricken. It would have broken her heart to have lost her. She didn't leave her side until doctors reassured her that her gran was on the mend”
I hope her grandmother gets better.
