We both have relational problems, stress about school and work, family problems, conflicts with friends, arguements with parents, hobbies, political interests (or lack of), etc.

I wouldn't focus on what "activities" gay people and straight people do alike - that just makes it seem more like we're of a different species.

You should discuss the politics of it. Rights of the minorities, the Bill of Rights, maybe even bring up the Civil Rights Movement of the past.

We have families, we get scared, we do things we don't want to do, we enjoy a good laugh, we get frustrated, we talk to ourselves....

All kinds of ****, lol. I'm trying to think of what one of my closest friends and I do that are similar.

I'm pretty sure straight and gay people do everything the same way. The only difference is that each group loves a different set of people.

Well after reading the Op you need to take the political route.

The LGBT community still needs to follow the law just like everyone else. We all as citizens must pay taxes, attend jury duty and have the right to participate in elections.

At the end of the day we are all human we all have insecurities, opinions, pet peeves etc. Our sexual preference is beyond our control and the only difference between the 2 is nobody voted for a certain group's marriage rights.
