Robin Thicke

I'm so sorry but I find him boooooooring. Especially that Sessions song which had no life and no emotion. I thought Cocaine would be betta since it was recorded but I was wrong. He needs to bring life and emotion to his singin then I could dig him. His lyrics are on point tho. That song with him and Faith was good... she helped him come out some.

I listened to the songs 3 times too just to much sure I wasn't trippin and I came with the same answer. Sorry.

I think Kyle is the best vocalist in that group yet all he does is background singing? I hate to admit it but Wingo usually sounds like he's on helium lol. They could do better if only they tried different things every once in a while.

For those who doubt the greatness of Robin Thicke, listen to the only song of his that I can think of that really came close to being a hit here in the States, "When I Get You Alone". That song is the ****. THE ****.

As for underrated artists, whenever these type of topics get brought up here, I always bring up Rammstein. But I have another one now and that's Motorhead. Both artists are acquired taste for some, but both of them, Motorhead in particular, are two of my favorite artists and deserve your time at least once, especially if you are a fan of Metal.

For those not as much into Metal and want a taste of dance heaven, Electric Six is for you. Seek out "Danger! High Voltage" and "Rock & Roll Evacuation" if you can.

And for those who just want pure rock music, Thrice is the way to go. I know they aren't THAT underrated but they are seriously one of the best bands in the world and they deserve even more success than they have gotten.

I think that the problem that people have w/ Robin's music is that it's not mainstream. When I played his songs for my friends they liked his voice but not his style. I think that in order to like him you have to be into that type of music. It has that really edgy urban feel to it. I don't know how to explain it 2 people that aren't from NY but here there is an underground urban/punk movement that hasn't quite been given a name yet. It involves everything from art to the way you dress and to the type of music that you like. I think that Robin's songs like Cocaine, In My Dreams, She's Gangsta really reflects the style. I think that the art world which involves music as well is starting to move in a different direction. N.E.R.D. music is very much the same to Robin's. & Pharrell is quite typical example of what I'm talking about from his music to his style of dress. Mainstream America hasn't quite catched on to it.

Robin Thicke just need to market himself...possibly go down the path of Nelly Furtado and make himself more mainstream to sell.

311[?] I mean, come on, no VMA nominations, no Grammy nominations, all but 2 of their 8 albums are only Gold or uncertified, and practically so many people talk **** about them--I've seen it happen more to them than most bands--and they're really talented and unique. They should've gotten success on pop radio; they only mildly acheived that with a cover ["Lovesong".] I don't care if the recent album isn't their best at all, I still think they're great. They only seem to do somewhat well on Alternative radio, nowhere else. Plus MTV have ignored them for years, so yeah...
Filter, are very underrated. Almost the same deal as 311 as far as the negative criticism and zero nominations go, although they've had one huge pop hit ["Take a Picture".]

And there are many bands I listen to that are definitely underrated in the mainstream world, but that's understandable.

Kyle is my favorite in the group and I wish he would at least sing on ONE song. Wingo is alright, LOL @ at the helium comment. Oh well.

Susan Tedeschi!! How did I miss her? I just heard her music this week. She's like the modern Janis Joplin! Love her!

I liked "Threesome" from his album. Ithink Mya & Sean Paul are underrated.
