The whole "banning a topic" idea really rubs me the wrong way, to be honest. I know it's a difficult topic for many, but blatant censorship of it doesn't allow anyone to evolve their understanding and come to an appropriate conclusion. Those who don't want to discuss it, are more than welcome to stay out of these threads, but those who are interested in discussing the lasting societal effects of this fairly major decision should be allowed to without being censored.

no amount of discussion will change either partys mind. his fans will continue to support. his haters will continue to hate. nothing will come of any amount of discussion ever. so "shutting the **** up" is simply the best solution since discussion will ultimately lead to nowhere

I think enough has already been said. These discussions have been going on all week. It's been established that this sends out the wrong message to fans, and that it was an incredibly bad move, but there is nothing else we can do about it. It's Rihanna's career and her decision. If she wants to damage her credibility, then all we can do is let her.
