To all the artist coming out with new material in July that are not Justin Timberlake, I fear for you! Justin is a huge threat to the likes of Beyonce, Janet, Jessica, and Jojo ( 2 bad 'cause I like her). Justin's boasts that his new music video will be like a small film.(which is apparently supposed to be a conceptual video). & w/ his video coming out soon, these other artists are headed for trouble. Regarding the charts, I think that Justin will either debut around what Paris did or climb up the charts lightening fast. The other artists have either been moving too slow or just plain have been flopping(Janet). Justin is currently all over the internet stealing the spotlight from a lot of other potential artists. He has so much buzz around him and he hasn't even done anything yet! Now that Justin has shed his "I'm trying 2 copy MJ" personna he will able to garner more fans. & if he still has the support of the preteens and teenage girls then it's over. That's where most of the money comes from (see New Kids on the Block). Not to mention Justin's movie AlphaDog, (which will be out soon) will gain him more respect and fans because I'm pretty sure that this movie is going to kick a**!! Now do I want Justin to have all this success I'm not sure. I'm still debating whether I've gone back to liking him or not. But nevertheless, he will take over July.

Yeah right... Sorry to tell you this... but I doubt Justin can overtake Beyonce... her song might suck big time but she's way too popular... and the same might apply to miss simpson (though she's less famous)

Justin has been around for 9-10 years already, and believe me, he's pretty damn popular. He'll do just fine. But why don't we comment on JoJo? Why is everyone saying that she'll do SO well...

I don't even like Justin at the moment. But I've been on other sites and I've realized how popular he is. It's worse than before. I'm not saying that the other artists won't be successful. It's that Justin will have more success. Not to mention his song will go number 1 on the charts before theirs will, if ever.

Wow. I really dont think SexyBack will make 1. I like the song but there is so much opposition to it recently.

I'm pretty sure that soon this thread will be made clear that it isn't pointless. Justin's going to blow up the charts. I think my predictions have already started judging from the mediabase thread. Anyway, regarding Xtina, she already released her material and already has a hit so I'm not worried about her. He can't catch her that fast. She's on her way to #1. Artists who are debuting their material at this point are going to have a problem w/ Justin.

Anyways, the song is a hot mess and I'm sure if the rest of his album is like that then it wil be a pile of fresh steamed ****. That **** is NOT innovative as some people may think.

Justin is copyin MJ still. Who makes short films as music videos?? WHO DOES THAT, not no David Bowie or whoever else he sayin he's currently inspired by. I like Justin, him and Nick are the only male pop singers that I like but he needs to stop lyin and just face reality. He wants to be like MJ, period.

I admit that I immediately thought that when I heard that he was going to do a conceptual video. But it's based off a Maddona video so I don't know. Atleast he's not trying to sing like Michael and copying his dance moves anymore! I hate artists that do that i.e. Usher, and Chris Brown. I know for a while people were trying 2 say that Usher dances better than MJ. Uh, not even close. But hearing the songs I really like them. Although he has to learn how to control his voice better. He's very hard to understand live and sometimes he sounds constipated. But either way, Love Sounds is going to be the album of Sept. I still think that JC sings better than Justin though.

This is why I don't like the state of mainstream music now. The big and popular names are always getting hit songs (Christina, Beyonce) but I can't comment on Justin or Jojo's songs since I haven't heard them yet. Popularity <<<<< Talent. This is why I'd prefer music that mostly isn't mainstream because I think it's better and has more effort put into it. ANOM and DV had little effort put, though I'd give ANOM more credit since it is a change of sound.

I see justin doing well. It's going to be a battle between Christina, Beyonce and Justin in my opinion. Everyone is blowing up, so I can't wait. I really wonder if Justin can debut at one. His first single isn't the best, but it will grow on people.

Why are you judging popularity based on some messageboards..? Real world can be much different, sweetie. I know that Beyonce is the most hated artist on some messageboards and she is doing it BIG. Usually, artists who are hated are more successful than those who aren't.

For example, Kelly Rowland was loved on some forums I am at (SIMPLY DEEP era). But she didn't have success...At least not in the US..

That's why I say, wait for everyone's albums to come out and then talk.
