Laws against Kissing? Cuddling? Dating? Making out?
We all know the age of consent is for giving full consent, at your own free will, to have sex with someone, but what about the latter?
Is there a law against a 17 year old kissing a 22 year old?
Is there a law against a 16 year old cuddling with a 22 year old?
Is there a law against a 17 year old dating a 25 year old?
Can anyone of any age, as long as your 16 (age of consent age), free to be in a full consensual relationship with anyone, as long as there is no sex involved?
Remember, Paul W.S. Anderson is married to Milla Jovovich and they are 11 years apart. Shocking!!!!
Can you legally date someone, 16+ of age, and not worry about any legal consequences, as long as your parents don't get involved. Since you aren't 18, they can still legally forbid you seeing them, but they can't do anything else, since no sexual contact happened.
Opinions?
(Which PS, by the way, I worked with a manager who was 25 at the time and he was dating a 17 year old girl, a year later she is 18 now, but is that ok? I also have a friend who is 17 who is dating this 29 year old, and he just turned 18 this month, but is that ok?)
If the age of consent is 16 where you live, all of those are legal. Kissing and I think cuddling count as sexual contact, so those would be illegal if one person was younger than 16. Two people of any age can date, but it becomes illegal if one person is under 16 and the other is over 18, and sexual contact is involved.
You're asking so many questions here. It all depends on your state/country.

If the age of consent is 16 and they both are 16+, then they can have sex if that want.

Brad Pitt is with Angelina Jolie, they're 12 years apart.
Courthney Stodden married Doug Hutchinson when she was 16, and he was 50.
I posted this in the age of consent thread though.
What does this mean then?

If the actor is in position of authority, the victim must be 18
Just very curious because I'm reading a thousand articles about teachers getting convicted, up to the age 24 even, because they had sex with a 17 year old. But that's because they were a teacher, i.e., position of authority over a student.
I also asked, what if these teachers weren't teachers. Would anything even be a crime?
If they weren't teachers nothing would happen. Teachers are not allowed to have sex with students. It's usually school and state poilcy.
So that's probably why I'm seeing only teacher related articles about having a sexual relationship with 17 year olds and getting convicted. Go to that link, and look at the related articles, it's all about teachers, key word.
I was just curious because I never saw any other articles out there. Plus I was also curious cause I know that my manager was dating a 17 year old and he was 25 at the time.
The only fear is...parents. If they don't want you dating someone, then they can still do something about it.
From Instant Star. A story about a 21 year old and a 16 year old.

Tommy: "Look, man, you think I'm okay with this, huh? That the coolest chick I know -the girl who gets me the most- is sixteen?" "Give me a break, man. She's out of bounds, and I'm not that guy."
Kwest: "Cool... but if she was twenty-one."
Tommy: (smirking) "In a split second."

ya, in one of the episodes, tommy and this guy were talken about his feelings for jude (at this time jude is 16) so tom is like "its confusing that the only girl who gets me is 16,id tottally go for her if she was 21 without hesitation, but shes only 16, im not that kinda guy" and jude overhears..so she writes this song about their complicated relationship.hope that helps!
Well I almost started dating a guy with 25 years old and I was 17 on that time and honestly age was an issue for me... on that time I don't liked the idea of dating someone a lot older than me.

Seriously who cares if its illegal or not illegal. as long as it's behind closed doors. No one would give a damn. Gay sex is illegal in singapore and some other countries i believed. But do you think the police will raid each and every people houses one by one?=.=
