Punk did not comment on the incident for publicity but considering that the WWE and a lot of media are twitter obsessed its becoming a bigger issue. Chris Brown should have done his homework before he accused Punk of doing steroids.
Also just because Punk is a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan that doesn't mean that he should not be able to express his feelings about domestic abuse. Steve and Debra had a domestic conflict and he admitted to his wrong doing and she also talked about what happened with exaggeration to his size.
At the end of the day neither situation is okay but no one sees Austin behaving the way CB does. He made a mistake, got help and 10 years later hes in a much better place. Also regarding Austin's domestic situation let us not forget that it was he, who filed for divorce.
Still makes him look like a hypocrit and I noticed you said it took him 10 yrs to get to a happy place...its only been 3 years for chris

Um...I mentioned 10 years ago because that is when the incident occurred. Doesn't matter how long its been, many people are still on Chris's case because they feel that there hasn't been any genuine remorse and considering his numerous twitter breakdowns and him blowing up at the smallest things regarding the situation. Some just feel that he still hasn't learned a lesson. *shrugs*
Now personally, I don't make excuses for anybody putting their hands on another person. I wish Chris the best and hope that one day he too can find peace and not always feel the need to address his detractors.
As for Punk, again just because he is a fan of Austin doesn't mean that he should not be allowed to voice his opinions. No one knows if he ever talked to Austin or not regarding the matter.
Comments in this thread talking about people like CM Punk doing this for relevancy . . .
Maybe it's because they read the same thing we all read that revealed what truly happened that night.

Ikr? Dead @ Chris thinking his career couldn't end just as quickly as CM's.
seriously chris needs to stop with these tweets I know he has every right to defend himself but he's just making
himself look like a fool he sounds like a ten year old going on a tantrum and what's up with these tweets they 're jealous of me, get your 15 mintues of fame or I am helping selling your album because he's not doing a great job at getting big sales for himself
You don't know him and you don't give a **** but you wasting all those tweets on him? Reminds me of myself when I was 5 . And yes, we can judge him all we want, especially because we know it gets him all bothered, it tastes much better
